Nuseir Yassin, owner of Nas Daily Studios and Nas Company took to LinkedIn that for the first time, both companies crossed $1,000,000 in monthly revenue.
Nas Daily Studios and Nas Company said that it is a milestone he has been working on for four years, but he is not really motivated by money, so why is this important?
In a post on LinkedIn—a business and employment-focused social media platform—Nuseir commented and asked so many questions including why should companies work super hard to make more money. Is it to increase shareholder value? That’s not exciting. Is it to buy a Ferrari? I think you know my opinion here.
I thought a lot about this. And many people seem to disagree.
Primary purpose of companies
He commented that the primary purpose of companies is to "Create Jobs" and there is this weird narrative that you have to be “as small as possible”. That “better to be a 20-person team, than a 200-person team”
That “small companies give you less headache”.
“All of the above is true. And I believe it.
But we should not underestimate the value of a job created.
My first job out of college at Venmo impacted me the most. It gave me the financial ability and knowledge to start Nas Daily. It changed my life…forever. And I owe that to the company that hired me.”
That’s why I’m excited about the $1m milestone revenue (not profit).
It helps us create more jobs.
More money means hiring more people to bring more money to hire more people.
Nas Daily 1,000 jobs target
Nuseir said he wants the company to create 1,000 jobs in the next 10 years. We opened 18 roles last week.

Startups are better than big companies.
He said, “Yes, startups are better than big companies. Yes, don’t waste money on unnecessary labor. But it’s a ton more fulfilling to create 1,000 jobs and break even than to have millions in profit and stay a 10-person startup.”
“That’s just my take,” he commented.
